Fresh Rumors of Samsung Galaxy S6

The Galaxy S phones are considered to be the best smart phones running on Android. The new Samsung Galaxy S6 is on its way and there are lots of rumors about its specs, price and release date.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 was launched during this year’s Mobile World Congress. Unfortunately, it did not cause the stir that its predecessors managed to create among consumers. This might have been caused by Samsung’s decision to postpone the launch of one of its most important gadgets. The Samsung Galaxy S6 is expected for 2015. Most specialists in the domain consider that the phone will not be available in the first quarter of the financial year.

The Korean company has felt the need to reassure its customers that the future gadget is worth waiting for and this is will be much better than the Samsung Galaxy S5. The company representatives have assured its clients that Samsung strives hard to exceed consumer expectations. The launch of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha has determined certain fans to consider the metallic frame for the next Samsung Galaxy S6. A feature as such would definitely make the phone better looking and more solid.

There are sources which claim that the new Samsung Galaxy S6 will come equipped with a much more powerful processor. Thus, speculations are about a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, having six cores and 64 bit and about a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor having octa-core and a 64-bit chip. Tech Radar claims that the phone will also have an Adreno 430 GPU which is 30 per cent faster than the Andreno 420.

The Korean company is said to be working on both 2K and 4K technologies for the display. If the rumours about the Snapdragon 810 processor are accurate, then the next phone of the Galaxy S line will have a display equal to 3480×2160. However, there is no information on the camera. But this does not prevent fans from speculating on either a 16 megapixels or a 20 megapixels camera.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 might come equipped with stereo speakers, a more powerful battery and a processor of 64 bit.

Samsung and Apple End Their Patent Disputes outside the US Territory

The two great electronics rivals, Apple and Samsung have decided to put an end to their patent litigations outside the US borders. This is the first step in ending a long and expensive legal battle between the two companies. The company made public a common statement in which they confirm that their legal war had ended overseas but not on the US territory.

The Wall Street Journal claims that the agreement between the companies does not imply any agreement upon licensing. The Journal also points out that the companies will continue their disputes in the US law courts.

This legal battle began in 2011. Apple accused Samsung of imitating the features of the iPhone line and sought for legal advice. It ended up by dragging the Korean company into court. But Samsung was not intimidated and filed law suits in countries across Asia (Japan and South Korea), Europe (Italy, France, Germany, the UK and the Netherlands) and in Australia. Apple had to face the accusation of having infringed the wireless transmission patents that belonged to its rival.

The two companies intend to stop all legal actions in the countries mentioned above with the exception of the US. This is a very important decision since the Apple might have a certain advantage in the US. For example, the California jury granted Apple 119 million US dollars out of the 2.2 billion US dollars that the company wants to receive from its Korean rival. This happened in the month of May. During the last two years, Apple managed to obtain almost 930 million US dollars from its rival Samsung. This happened due to an order issued by the federal court of San Jose, California.

At the beginning of 2014 the companies tried to solve their differences by means of mediation. The top representatives of both companies met but the encounters lead to no fruitful results. The judge overseeing the case was actually hoping the companies would reach a consensus before the trial. Only in the last three years the two electronic companies filed more than forty patent law suits against one another. The litigation in the US is the most important because it implies the highest amounts of money.

Apple has taken legal actions against other electronic companies as well. Thus, the American company filed a suit against Nokia in 2009 and against Google and HTC in 2010. However, the company has decided to put an end to its litigations. Thus, it reached a consensus with Google in the month of May. Now, it is Samsung’s turn.
